BMSCs stem cells isolated from bone marrow are characterized by a high level of multipotence and natural anti-inflammatory properties that favor the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Due to these properties, they are also used in personalized, individual-tailored therapy of keratitis.
Indications: in patients with immune mediated keratitis (IMMK), subconjunctival injections selected individually after a comprehensive and detailed ophthalmic examination allow for permanent withdrawal of the disease symptoms , thus restoring the translucency of the cornea and relieving the symptoms of discomfort that accompany some forms of IMMK.
A graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Wrocław. She has been working with eye diseases of dogs, cats and horses since 2005. During her studies, she completed numerous apprenticeships and internships abroad, including a scholarship at the University of Budapest and the University of Ludwik Maximilian in Munich, in one of the best centers of veterinary ophthalmology in Europe, under the supervision of prof. H. Gerhards. After an internship at a horse hospital, she gained experience in the field of companion animal diseases at one of the largest clinics in Wrocław. Member of the European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology, a longtime translator of ophthalmic publications for the Elsevier publishing house, author of many articles in the trade press. Regular participant in ESVO and ECVO conventions. She has completed a course in cataract surgery using the phacoemulsification method and cryosurgery. Lek.wet Anna Cisło-Pakuluk also completed the 1st degree course in ophthalmology in Luxembourg and the 2nd degree course in the field of ophthalmic surgery organized in Toulouse. Since 2016, she has additionally been involved in scientific work, aimed at applying the latest achievements of regenerative medicine in the treatment of retinal diseases.
