The industrial biotechnology department deals with research on the acquisition of natural, bioactive substances targeting the microbiome of the gastrointestinal tract of horses and small animals, as well as care products for the production of which metabolites of microorganisms and eukaryotic cells are used. Tests are carried out in specialized laboratories: microbiology, molecular biology and a prototype laboratory.

The industrial biotechnology department is responsible for the development of processes and products as well as research on recipes in the field of industrial production in accordance with the growing needs of the nutraceutical market for the production of fermented ingredients. The key elements of the production of post-fermentation components are the selection and optimization of strains and the maximization of bioproduction. Post-processing includes advanced technologies ensuring high microbial survival and stability of bioactive substances.

ProBIOM liquid probiotic

Probiom + is a micellar probiotic emulsion, containing a high amount of live cultures of probiotic bacteria, intended for horses suffering from digestive system ailments, including diarrhea, food allergies, reduced immunity, impaired absorption, peptic ulcer disease and for horses during intensive use. Probiom + is a micellar probiotic containing natural lactic acid bacteria, S. bulardii yeast and a complex of bioactive nucleotides, beta-glucans and vitamins that restore the natural bacterial flora, improve digestion and absorption, improve intestinal peristalsis, cleanse and regenerate the intestines.

ASECUROL

ASECUROL is a clinical protective preparation dedicated to horses treated with steroid and non-steroid drugs as well as undergoing antibiotic therapy or ulcer treatment.

ASECUROL contains alpha-bisabolol and spiroether, which have an active anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting the secretion of pro-inflammatory and pro-allergic compounds such as histamine, serotonin and bradykinin, and additionally regulate the secretion of gastric acid.

The highly available diammonium glycyrrhizinate also positively affects the condition of the intestinal mucosa by reducing the secretion of inflammatory markers. The polysaccharides contained in the preparation, including lichenin, isolichenin, cellulose, hemicellulose and catechin tannins, have a strong coating, shielding, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory effect. The presence of cetaric acid with proven bacteriostatic activity supports the disturbed intestinal barrier by inhibiting the growth of intestinal pathogens.
