PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY

The Plant Biotechnology Department conducts research on the development of ecological methods of cultivation by using naturally occurring soil microorganisms and their metabolites.

The biologically active substances developed increase the speed of plant growth and development, impact crop yield, prevent infection by pathogens, reduce fertilizer consumption, and improve soil fertility.

Due to the organic origin of the prepared probiotics, the natural environmental balance is not disturbed.

The concept of utilizing scientific knowledge in the field of plant biology and microbiology combined with the experiences shared by local farmers ensures excellent synergy in creating biopreparations for sustainable agriculture. Plant biotechnologists develop and optimize the production technology of natural probiotics, whose bio-stimulating potential is examined not only under laboratory conditions but also in environmental conditions.

Within lateral collaboration with the Industrial Biotechnology Department, research is being conducted on preparations aimed at improving the quality of pastures and meadows.
