PRECLINICAL RESEARCH

gallery-item

The International Institute of Translational Medicine is a unit specially adapted to conduct experimental research consistent with applicable law and based on generally accepted standards. All work is carried out with the approval of the Ethics Committee for Animal Research. Thanks to preclinical tests, we are able to assess the effects of various substances on the body and we can predict the effects of potential drugs on humans. The experimental animals in MIMT (rabbits, rats, mice, sheep, horses) are treated in accordance with the applicable standards, and tests on them are carried out only by a qualified team. Animal studies are used to understand the pharmacokinetic properties, toxicity of a drug, and its pharmacodynamics, and hence its mechanism of action. The positive completion of preclinical studies on animals allows the drug to be moved to the next phase of clinical trials in humans, and in the perspective of its introduction to the market, offering new treatment options.
